DINER IN THE STORMFIELD GUIDE

A field guide to the CrazyGames build

Questions, and whether we can answer them

A FAQ is where guides usually start guessing. Each answer below is tagged with where it came from, and the ones we cannot answer say so.

The title screen of Diner in the Storm — a stick-figure trucker in a grey truck with BEGIN, CREDITS and an ACHIEVEMENTS tab.

The ones we can answer

Is it free? Yes. There is no purchase step anywhere in the tab: the game loads and BEGIN is the only thing between you and the diner. (Read from the client.)

Where do I play it? In a browser tab, on the CrazyGames page for the game. The build is HTML5, which is why it runs without a download. (Portal metadata, 2026-11-06.)

Does it need sound? The title screen prints FOR BEST EXPERIENCE PLAY WITH AUDIO under a headphone icon. Whatever that instruction is worth, the same screen has a speaker button that mutes it, so the build is playable silently. (Read from the title screen and the mute button.)

Can I skip the opening? Yes. During the animatic the client prints CLICK TO SKIP INTRO along the bottom right, and clicking that text advances the opening. (Observed on 2026-11-06 — see how a run works.)

Is it the same game as the one on Steam? No. There is a paid-adjacent Steam release under the same name, and this site covers only the browser build. Anything you read here should not be applied to the Steam version without checking. (Portal card and the developer's own pages disagree about the name; we only ever opened the browser build.)

How long is it? Unknown to us. We have not finished a run, so we will not quote a number. Other guides print 30–60 minutes; that figure is theirs, not ours.

The ones we cannot answer yet

questionwhy it is still open
How many endings are there? The developer's page lists eight. We have not reached one, so we have not seen the ending screen.
Does it save my progress? Not tested. We have not reloaded mid-run to find out.
Are there achievements? The title screen has an ACHIEVEMENTS tab. Clicking it twice did nothing we could see.
What does the radio do?It opens a dial from 88 to 108 MHz. We could not make the needle move — three attempts are listed on the radio page.
Is it scary? The portal tags it Horror. We have walked three rooms and seen nothing that jumps.

How to ask us something

Mail [email protected] with a screenshot and the question. A screen beats a description: if we can reproduce it, the page changes.
