A field guide to the CrazyGames build
Edith and Ethan, the couple in the third booth
The only two characters who share a table. One complains about the rain, the other tells her to relax, and both of them stay seated for as long as we watched.
What they say
Edith speaks first, when you click the booth:
"I can't believe this rain."
She then says nothing for a beat, and the plate shows a single word:
"..."
Ethan answers her:
"But c'mon it's not that bad. Just relax. We can stay here for as long as we want."
If you click the booth again after that, Edith answers with the refusal instead of a line of her own:
"Oh, sorry this booth's taken."
How they are drawn
Edith sits on the left with a bob of hair drawn as three strokes, and her hands rest on the table. Ethan sits opposite, drawn with no hair at all, so his head is a bare circle. They are the only two characters drawn holding the same table, and the only pair whose portraits appear in the same dialogue sequence.
Both are seated on the radio side of the room, one screen away from the counter. The radio and its note sit on the table to their left; the television with moving colour bars hangs above them.
What we could not learn
They never speak to each other again during our run, and no line names their relationship. The page title calls them a couple because they are seated together and answer for one another; the game itself never uses a word for it, and we are not going to invent one.
Not tested
- Whether the pair splits up later in the game.
- Whether Ethan has lines of his own if clicked directly; we only ever saw him reply.
- Whether the television above them can be interacted with.
- Whether their booth becomes free if they leave.
